The
Bywater Civic Association is an all inclusive neighborhood organization
serving to recognize local issues and inform, advocate for and
support the historic Bywater neighborhood and its residents.
The
goals of the Bywater Civic Association are:
- Facilitating
the distribution of and exchange of information to all Bywater
residents, thereby encouraging cooperation and united action
amongst our community.
- Encouraging
friendly association between residents and embracing the diversity
of our population.
- Protecting
our neighborhood's historic character and significance while
encouraging responsible and appropriate growth.
- Maintaining
and improving the quality of life in our neighborhood.
- Monitoring
the actions of city government, city officials and other public
agencies that affect our neighborhood.
Membership
in the Bywater Civic Association is free and open to all residents
of the Bywater with no required monetary dues.

Once
a solid membership base has been developed and several BCA meetings
have taken place, nominations and elections for board positions
will be held. Board members will be responsible for managing
the day to day operations of the BCA, but all neighborhood issues
